About Goat Island
Goat Island is a small rural island locality in the Richmond River, in the Ballina Shire of the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. The privately owned island lies a short distance from the town of Ballina and is partly cleared farmland long used for grazing stock, about fifteen minutes from the open ocean at the river mouth.
