Bungawalbin is a rural locality in the Richmond Valley in northern New South Wales, situated near Bungawalbin Creek, a tributary of the Richmond River. The area has historical ties to the timber and dairy industries and borders the Bungawalbin National Park, which protects a significant floodplain wetland system containing subtropical rainforest, coastal swamp forests and over 130 bird species.
