About Yarrawonga Park

Yarrawonga Park is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie, located on a peninsula on the western side of the lake about seven kilometres east of Morisset. The peninsula is surrounded by lake waters and was historically lined with she-oaks whose timber was used for roofing, with Shingle Splitters Point in neighbouring Balcolyn serving as a loading point. The Awabakal people are the traditional owners.
