About Watsons Creek (NSW)

Watsons Creek is a rural locality in northern New South Wales, on the western fall of the New England Plateau in the Tamworth region. It is largely grazing country on the Moonbi Range, a southern arm of the Nandewar Range, in an area with a history of tin mining. The locality gives its name to the 1,260-hectare Watsons Creek Nature Reserve, gazetted in 1980, which protects forest and woodland on the range.
