About Namoi River
Namoi River is a small rural locality in the New England region of New South Wales, about 400 kilometres (250 mi) north of Sydney, in the Tamworth Regional Council local government area. The locality covers river flat and upland country along the upper Namoi River valley, and is a sparsely settled agricultural district supporting mixed farming, beef cattle and dryland cropping. Tamworth, about 50 kilometres (31 mi) to the south-east, is the regional centre for the area.
