Texas is a rural locality on the New South Wales side of the Dumaresq River, across the border from the Queensland town of Texas. It is a sparsely settled district of grazing and cropping country, with the Dumaresq River along its northern edge and the Tarwoona Travelling Stock Reserve within the locality.
