About Braefield

Braefield is a small locality on the Kamilaroi Highway and Main North railway line in the Liverpool Plains of New South Wales, about 7 kilometres south of Quirindi. The surrounding area is characterised by the rich black soil plains of the Liverpool Plains, among the most productive agricultural land in Australia. A railway station opened at Braefield in 1878, though no trace of it remains.
