About Wantagong

Wantagong is a sparsely populated rural locality in the Upper Murray region of southern New South Wales, situated within Greater Hume Shire approximately 60 kilometres north-east of Albury. The area is characterised by open pastoral land and ranges, with large grazing properties and broad-acre farming dominating the landscape. Woomargama National Park, which preserves native woodland and grassland, lies within the locality.
