About Coomealla
Coomealla is a rural locality in the Wentworth Shire of far-western New South Wales, bordering the Murray River near Dareton and Mildura. It is part of the Coomealla Irrigation Area, established in 1922 and greatly expanded by soldier-settler farms after World War II. The district is known for its orchards, vineyards and dried fruit production.
