About Herons Creek
Herons Creek is a small township on the North Coast of New South Wales, about 291 km north of Sydney, in the Port Macquarie-Hastings area. The town grew up around a timber mill that opened in 1915, and a railway station served it until 1974. Film director Baz Luhrmann was raised in the town.
