About Salisbury (NSW)

Salisbury is a village about 28 kilometres north-west of Dungog in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, at the foot of the Barrington Tops. Settled around 1836 by free Welsh immigrants, it was historically an isolated dairying and cash-cropping community with a post office from the 1840s and a national school from 1875, and remains a scattered rural locality.
