About Pindimar
Pindimar is a coastal village on the northern shore of Port Stephens, separated from Tea Gardens by the Myall River. The name is from the Worimi language meaning place of black possums, and the area was proposed as Australia's federal capital site in 1919 and as a naval base by Admiral Jellicoe. Popular for boating, fishing and kayaking, the village is near Myall Lakes National Park and accessible by ferry or road.
