About Carrington (Mid-Coast - NSW)

Carrington is a coastal locality in the Mid-Coast Council area of New South Wales, located on the Karuah River near Port Stephens. It lies about 215 kilometres north-northeast of Sydney and 19 kilometres west of Tea Gardens, with an elevation of 9 metres above sea level. The locality was named after the 3rd Earl Carrington, who served as Governor of New South Wales from 1885 to 1890.
