McDougalls Hill is a rural locality roughly 15 kilometres north of Singleton in the Hunter Region, situated within the Hunter coalfields district and close to the Hunter Valley wine region. The area includes an industrial estate and remnant Central Hunter Valley eucalypt forest, and lies near major open-cut coal mining operations along the New England Highway.
