About Nombi

Nombi is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Warrumbungle Shire of New South Wales, on the western edge of the Liverpool Plains about 50 kilometres from Gunnedah. Mount Nombi is a prominent landmark with a historic federation homestead dating to around 1904, and Nombi Creek runs through the area as a tributary of Mitchells Creek. The landscape features rolling hills, box-eucalypt woodland and fertile black basalt soils supporting mixed farming of grazing and dryland cropping on Gamilaraay country.
