About Goorianawa

Goorianawa is a rural locality in the Warrumbungle Shire of New South Wales, near Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungle range. The area takes its name from a historic pastoral run managed from 1877 by Cuthbert Fetherstonhaugh, and is the subject of an old bush song satirising the station owner. The landscape of grazing and dryland cropping country lies within Gamilaraay and Wiradjuri traditional lands.
