About Broughams Gate

Broughams Gate is a vast remote pastoral locality in the Far West and Orana region of New South Wales, located about 988 kilometres west-northwest of Sydney within the unincorporated area adjacent to Broken Hill. The landscape of arid flat plains typical of the far west New South Wales and South Australian border region supports sparse pastoral land with open scrub on the traditional lands of the Barkandji people. Named after the Brougham family, early pastoralists in the Broken Hill district associated with Yalcowinna and Poolamacca stations.
