About Tichborne

Tichborne is a historic locality in the Parkes Shire, about 11 kilometres north-west of Parkes on the Central West plains. Gold was discovered here in 1872 and the town boomed to over 10,000 people at its peak, before declining to a quiet farming community of around 90 residents.
