About Cumnock
Cumnock is a small town in the Cabonne Shire of the Central West of New South Wales, situated approximately 59 kilometres north-west of Orange in the heart of the region's food-and-wine triangle between Orange, Dubbo and Mudgee. The town is named after Cumnock in Ayrshire, Scotland, the home of an early settler, and is known for its pioneering farmhouse rental program offering properties for one dollar a week to attract new families. Cumnock is also a stop on the 120-kilometre Animals on Bikes paddock art trail between Molong and the Dubbo Zoo.
