About Cow Flat
Cow Flat is a rural locality in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, located approximately 200 kilometres west of Sydney near Bathurst in the Bathurst Regional Council area. The locality was the site of copper mining from 1871 to around 1910, with remnants including the former manager's cottage of basalt blocks and slag heaps from copper smelting. It is also the birthplace of author Arthur Wright.
