About Woodhouselee
Woodhouselee is a rural locality in Upper Lachlan Shire on the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, about 25 km north-west of Goulburn. It is said to be named either after an early settler called Woodhouse or after Woodhouselee, an estate town south of Edinburgh, by William Lithgow. The locality was served by Woodhouselee station on the Crookwell railway line from 1902 until the line closed in 1975, and had a state school from 1877 to 1893.
