About Wallagoot

Wallagoot is a small coastal locality in the Capital Region of New South Wales, located approximately halfway between Merimbula and Tathra on the far south coast. The locality is dominated by Wallagoot Lake, a pristine back-dune lagoon within Bournda National Park that supports sailing, fishing, paddling and birdwatching. The catchment is over 70 per cent forested, with the lake providing excellent water quality and habitat for threatened species including the little tern and fairy tern.
