About Jellat Jellat
Jellat Jellat is a small rural locality in the Bega Valley Shire on the New South Wales South Coast, situated approximately 8 kilometres east of Bega and 338 kilometres south of Sydney. The gently undulating farmland and bushland sits within easy reach of Bega town centre and the Sapphire Coast beaches at Tathra and Bermagui. The area is steeped in the pastoral and dairy heritage of the broader Bega Valley, and the Jellat Rural Fire Brigade has served the community since 1942.
