About Nanima
Nanima is a locality in the Yass Valley of the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, near Murrumbateman. The district developed around mining after gold was discovered at Nanima Creek in 1897 by prospector James Remington, and it also produced bismuth. The rush was brief, and the locality today is quiet rural country of farms and grazing land.
