About Middle Flat

Middle Flat is a small rural locality in the Snowy Monaro Regional area of New South Wales, about 322 kilometres south-west of Sydney at an elevation of around 844 metres on the Monaro tablelands. The landscape consists of open grassland and snow gum woodland typical of the Southern Tablelands high country, with sparse settlement and pastoral properties. Cooma is the nearest service town about 15 to 20 kilometres away, and the locality provides access to the Snowy Mountains waterways and Alpine walking tracks.
