About Kybeyan

Kybeyan is a rural locality in the Snowy Monaro region of New South Wales, situated on the Kybeyan River south of Cooma. The area was settled by European pastoralists in the 1820s and 1830s, who established large merino sheep stations on the cool tablelands. Today the landscape is characterised by rolling farmland and patches of bushland under the management of Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
