About Byadbo Wilderness

Byadbo Wilderness is a remote, largely unexplored wilderness zone in the far south of Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales, where the Snowy River flows through dry sclerophyll forest to the Victorian border. It is known for whitewater paddling and remote camping, and a koala population was confirmed here in 2022 after only scattered sightings over the previous eight decades.
