About Paupong
Paupong is a sparsely populated locality in the Snowy Monaro region of New South Wales, about 20 km south-east of Jindabyne in the tablelands and foothills of the Australian Alps. The district is historic grazing country, home to the 2,174-hectare Paupong Nature Reserve created in 2001, and has drawn renewed gold exploration interest in recent years.
