About Burrungubugge

Burrungubugge is a vast, sparsely populated rural locality in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area of New South Wales, on the Monaro tableland of the Australian Alps. The Burrungubugge River, a 14-kilometre perennial stream of the Snowy River catchment, rises below Bulls Peak in the Strumbo Range and descends through the locality. The area includes part of the critically endangered Monaro grasslands, historic mountain huts such as Kidmans Hut built in 1932, and remnants of gold workings along the upper river.
