About Gordon (ACT)
Gordon is a residential suburb in the Tuggeranong district of Canberra, about 25 km south of the CBD, gazetted in 1987 and named after Australian poet Adam Lindsay Gordon. Features include Point Hut Pond and district park, the Murrumbidgee River corridor and adjacency to Mount Rob Roy and Tuggeranong Hill. The suburb is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and proximity to Lake Tuggeranong.
