ACT Remainder - Cotter River is a large, mostly uninhabited administrative locality in the south-western Australian Capital Territory, spanning protected bushland and water catchment country west of Canberra. It covers much of the Cotter River's catchment, which supplies drinking water to Canberra and Queanbeyan through the Corin, Bendora and Cotter dams, in forested country adjoining Namadgi National Park.
