About Lawnton
Lawnton is a residential suburb in the City of Moreton Bay, located about 25 kilometres north of Brisbane CBD. Situated beside the North Pine River, it is named after early pioneer Stephen Lawn, a blacksmith who settled in the area in the 1860s. Lawnton railway station on the Caboolture Line provides commuter access to Brisbane, and the suburb includes an industrial estate along Gympie Road.
