About Bringelly
Bringelly is a rural-residential suburb of Sydney split between the City of Liverpool and Camden Council, located 57 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district on The Northern Road between Penrith and Camden. Established in 1812 when Robert Lowe was granted 1,000 acres, the area was later used as a hideout by bushranger Jack Donahue who was killed on the Wentworth property. The heritage-listed Georgian farmhouse Kelvin, built in 1820 by Thomas Laycock Jnr, is on the NSW State Heritage Register. The suburb is adjacent to the Badgerys Creek site of Western Sydney Airport and the NSW Government planned a new commercial centre named Bradfield in the suburb.
