About Tarin Rock
Tarin Rock is a small locality in the Western Australian Wheatbelt, about 18 km east of Kukerin in the Shire of Dumbleyung, taking its name from a rock formation. It grew up as a railway siding on the line from Wagin to Newdegate, opened through the district in 1916, and the surrounding land produces wheat and other cereal crops. Today the locality retains the Tarin Rock Tennis Club, a CBH grain receival point and a cemetery, serving the farms around it.
