About North Tammin

North Tammin is a rural locality in the Shire of Tammin in the central Wheatbelt of Western Australia, about 200 kilometres east of Perth. It covers the northern part of the shire, including the site of the former settlement of Yorkrakine, which had a post office, store and hall, and the prominent granite outcrop of Yorkrakine Rock. The surrounding land is broadacre farming country producing wheat and other cereal crops.
