About Miamoon
Miamoon is a locality 17 km west of Wubin in the Western Australian wheatbelt, now a nature reserve known for its wildflower displays and orchids. A granite outcrop with a gnamma hole provided water for Aboriginal people. The name is thought to mean 'home of the moon'. The area was opened for wheat and sheep farming around 1908, with a school that operated until 1950.
