About Malabaine
Malabaine is a rural locality in the Shire of Northam, about 20 kilometres north of Northam in the Avon Valley of Western Australia. The Mortlock River North flows through the locality on its way to join the Avon River near Northam, and the fertile red-brown soils support mixed cereal cropping alongside sheep and cattle grazing. The area sits at an elevation of around 216 metres in the Mediterranean climate zone of the western Wheatbelt, and Northam provides all essential services.
