About Lockyer (WA)

Lockyer is a north-western suburb of Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, located four kilometres north-west of the Albany CBD. Named after Major Edmund Lockyer, who established the Albany settlement in 1826, the suburb was officially named in 1954. It features Mount Lockyer Primary School and provides access to Albany's heritage sites, fishing, and southern coastline.
