About Gledhow

Gledhow is a town and western suburb of Albany in southern Western Australia, within the City of Albany. The town was laid out in 1891 by the W.A. Land Company, builders of the Great Southern Railway, and was acquired by the state government in 1896 and gazetted in 1898. Its name is thought to honour Gledhow in Yorkshire.
