About Jennacubbine
Jennacubbine is a small town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, located approximately 25 kilometres north of Northam and 26 kilometres south-south-west of Goomalling. Established as a railway siding on the Northam to Goomalling line in June 1902, the town name derives from a Noongar word for a well in the area, first recorded by explorer Augustus Gregory in 1848. The heritage-listed Jennacubbine Hotel, built from 1903, was the first tavern established in the Goomalling district.
