About Gorge Rock

Gorge Rock is a heritage-listed granite outcrop and former community hub in the Western Australia Wheat Belt region, located about 20 kilometres southeast of Corrigin on the road to Kondinin. The rock features a natural rock pool dammed in the early 1950s that was once the district swimming hole, and offers panoramic views of surrounding farmland from its summit. A hall built about 1915 for the Gnerkadilling community was relocated to the site in 1920 and hosted the founding of the Gorge Rock Agricultural Society that same year, and the Gorge Rock Nature Reserve protects the area as a popular free camping and picnic spot managed by the Shire of Corrigin.
