About East Popanyinning

East Popanyinning is a locality in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, east of the town of Popanyinning. The name derives from the Noongar word for 'water hole'. The area was first settled in the 1890s during construction of the Great Southern Railway and is part of the Shire of Cuballing.
