About Darkan
Darkan is a town in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia, on the Coalfields Highway between Collie and the Albany Highway, and the seat of the Shire of West Arthur. It takes its name from the nearby Darkan Rock, and the townsite was gazetted in 1906 as the Narrogin to Collie railway was built.
