About Coyrecup

Coyrecup is a rural locality in the Shire of Katanning in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, about 25 kilometres east of Katanning. The name derives from the Noongar word for the gum of the marri tree. The locality encompasses the Coyrecup Nature Reserve, which protects Coyrecup Lake, an important drought refuge and stopover site for migratory waterbirds including the threatened freckled duck.
