About Balladong
Balladong is a historic rural locality in the Shire of York in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region, immediately adjacent to the town of York and about 97 kilometres east of Perth. It is the site of the first settled farm in inland Western Australia in 1831, and the State Heritage-listed Historic Balladong Farm Group features stone stables, a granary and mill buildings from the 1850s, sitting along the Avon River amid gently undulating agricultural land.
