About Plumridge Lakes
Extraordinarily remote locality in the Great Victoria Desert of Western Australia, about 820 kilometres east of Perth. The area is home to the Tropicana Gold Mine, one of Australia's significant gold operations, and the Plumridge Lakes Nature Reserve of remote salt lakes. Access is by light aircraft or unsealed outback tracks, with a fly-in fly-out mining workforce the primary population.
