About Minilya
Minilya is a locality in the Shire of Carnarvon in Western Australia, north of Carnarvon on the North West Coastal Highway. It stands at the highway junction where the road to Exmouth branches off, with the Lyndon River to the north. The locality shares its name with the Minilya River, which was named when Charles Brockman and George Hamersley became the first Europeans to visit the area in 1876.
