About Sherlock (WA)
Sherlock is a pastoral locality in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, centred on Sherlock Station, a sheep and cattle station about 54 kilometres east of Roebourne. The station was taken up in 1879 by John and Emma Withnell, pioneering settlers of the North West, and today it is owned by the Bettini family alongside the neighbouring Mallina and Pyramid stations. The locality is sparsely settled outback grazing country.
