About Cooya Pooya
Cooya Pooya is a pastoral locality in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on the Harding River roughly 30 km south of Roebourne. The locality takes its name from Cooya Pooya Station, a sheep station founded in the 1860s whose old homestead, dating from the pastoral industry's early days in the region, is state heritage listed.
