About Ord River
Ord River is a vast, sparsely populated rural locality in the Kimberley region of north-eastern Western Australia, named after the river that crosses it. The former Ord River Station Homestead, listed on the State Heritage Register, and its cemetery mark the site of a large cattle station that was a focus of the district from 1884.
